I. Am. A. Tur. Tul.

I hurt my back last Friday, and I've been moving at 33 1/3 in a 78 world ever since, trying to keep up. Unfortunately, life hasn't been overly cooperative, so what little free time I've had this week has been spent catching up on things that could be put off a little while, but not indefinitely.

Look for an upcoming movie review or two, and posting frequency will increase as I get back up to speed. You've been warned.

Yikes, that sucks!

Hot baths. Hot water bottles. Hot babes. That's the ticket.

Been there...Ain't no fun...Back problems never really go away...Sadly, I can't think of anything even remotely encouraging I could say that wouldn't be a lie...

Hope you feel better soon!

I had a good dose of mortality a few years ago. I was brushing my teeth and sneezed. My back went out and I was in bed for days.

I'd always thought people's back problems amounted to a couple aches and pains and a whole lot of needless whining afterwards.

Whups.

Yup. It never sounded too too bad on TV when someone's back went out-- a comical crackle, the character says "Ah. My back.", and can't stand up. Ha.

What's not communicated there is that to stand up straight requires a commitment to overcome the indescribable agony such a movement produces, and which, once said position is reached, doesn't abate to any noticeable degree.

I have had to crawl to reach my shoes, and dedicated the better part of a half hour and buckets of sweat getting them on and tied when my back goes. I never knew that just enduring extreme pain was enough to make me sweat.

In those circumstances, chowing vicodin is like...like trying to extinguish a volcano with piss.
