The Oakland Raiders got stomped by the San Diego Chargers last night. After watching that pathetic performance, I'm trying to figure out the best spin for it. Should the Raiders claim that they're coming off a bye week or that their season starts next Sunday?

I was kinda disappointed in the Skins,though.However,not as much as I could have been.They did have some good plays and at least carried the ball for once.Portier showed his worth.That one return run where he refused to go out of bounds was worth the price of admission all by itself.
Oh well,I'll just do what everyone else is doing and blame it all on Hall.Never mind the fact that the Skins may have lost even bigger if they had gone into overtime.
* They're not peaking too early.
* They're saving their points for the post-season.
As a Packers fan, I've got a day's jump on the self-deception.

Posted by: Russ at September 12, 2006 05:03 PMNormally I'd jump on the opportunity to laugh like a donkey at the hapless Raiders, but as my Broncos' offense gave the Rams the ball five times and whose only saving grace was that they held the hornheads to only six field goals (thereby losing 18-10 instead of 42-10), I'll refrain from teasing.
